Cruise nite week of Barret Jackson

Are any of you guys going to the Scottsdale Pavillions cruise on the Saturday nite when the Barret Jackson auction is happening? I think it would be cool to meet up and try to park together in a row of G-3's! Will have to be there early or we won't get a chance, though. I can bring my white 73 Grand Am and have a buddy bring my 75 Laguna for a start. Very Happy

I hope you can generate some interest in our G3's out there. I've never seen one cross the block @ a BJ auction. Mecum has had a few cross in the past 2 or 3 auctions. Would be good for us owners if the values went up a little.

I'm not sure exactly what time yet, but we still have a couple of weeks to go. It usually fills up in the early afternoon, but on auction week it can be hard to get a spot by one or two in the afternoon. I will try to get over there before 11 and park one of mine to save a spot, Then come back with another one. Keep in touch on this thread and we'll get everyone together that we can! Thumbs up

Flying in on the 13th...out on the 20th. Splitting time between parents in Sun City and sister/brother-in-law's near Tatum & Thunderbird (she works a stone's throw away from Westworld). Usually end up at parents that last night there (Saturday) for family festivities, but can maybe convince my sister to play host for the evening and I can slip out and join you guys for awhile.

Yes, it is every week. It has been written up in Hot Rod as the longest running weekly cruise in the Southwest. It is usually pretty good size anyway(200-300 cars), but when a big event is in town like Goodguys or the auctions, it can be hard to find a place to park at all.

That black Cutlass is gorgeous. I like that Grand Am too...wonder who's it is?

They're all NICE! Good to see you have a decent representation of these cars show up @ the shows. I would be in Heaven.

Say, that red Malibu looks familiar also.

Man! That is an old pic of my car. Think that was in 2009 right before Power Tour. I has JUST installed the ProCharger and had temporary intercooler piping just to get it up there. I went up there to meet the photographer for PHR.

It looks like we are in for nasty weather on the 12th... Seems like it rains the 1st weekend of every Barret-Jackson. Hopefully the 19th will be clear and sunny. I have some guys from my Pontiac club who are supposed to be there too. What a Face

Leaving for Mesa on the 26th. Probably stop there on the next Saturday after that. I will wear my red G3 shirt so I will be easy to spot.

I'm still hoping to get over there on the 19th! Is there a place for spectators to park? Or, is this just open to guys/gals who cruise in with their cars?

The lot is huge, a Home Depot type lot with a Target and about 100 other little shops and a theatre, if you park in an adjacent lot or in the rear , it should be easy to walk to.

Alright! We should have perfect weather on Saturday for the cruise in! Probably in the 70's and no rain anywhere. I am going to take one car over there about 10:30 or 11. Then I am coming back about 2 or so to stay for a while. Look for the White 73 Grand Am, Or the Red 75 Laguna, my real name is Tom, look me up when ya get there! bounce

Wow!! I took my Carmel Beige 75 Grand Am to the show and it was completely full at 11:00! I saw a Yellow 427 Furd being pushed out of it's spot and just managed to get in his spot. He had a intake manifold leak and the wrecker had to come and get that Furd! I am getting ready to go back over with my 75 Laguna, but i don't think there is room in the same lot. Hope to see some other G-3'ers later this aft or evening!
