Re: I found some very nice G3 photos
Well then, old news for everyone. Still nice photos.
Limey, I have a question about your old VNF cowl hood. What was the height of the back of the scoop above the original rear edge of the hood? I know overall it was a 2" cowl but the hood sweeps up at the rear. Did it go down to 1"? I'm trying to see if a 177 blower will fit under that hood.

I would say no on a 2" you might have to step to the 4"

Re: I found some very nice G3 photos
I can't find the photos you posted in the hood for sale thread. Can you send me the links, please? I had thought I saved them for reference but I can't find them now. If the hood is 1" or more at the back edge then it will fit.
I just did a stack-up measurement and I get 16.5" from the intake manifold sealing surface (near the dist. hole) to the upper, rear edge of the stock hood. The stack-up for a 177 with an EFI and 3" air cleaner comes out to 16". So if the cowl is at least 1" I should be good.

1974 Chevrolet Chevelle Two Tons Of Fun MSD Ignition Retard Control
There are few things in the interior that you don't see. Inside the center console is an MSD ignition retard control.
Behind the glovebox door is the MSD 6AL box where Keith can plug in rpm-limiter chips. Flipping down the ashtray reveals a start button.
The original rear-window defogger switch now turns the Holley electric fuel pump on and off.
These are the type of cool and thoughtful details that set Keith's car apart from stripped-down race cars
