What did you cut the hood with? I tried to put some holes for hood pins thru the hood and thought I never was going to get thru. I want to cut a hole about that size to put a Thunderbolt scoop on my 78. JB

That looks really cool! Very Happy My oldest son had a '70 Trans Am with a shaker hood. I use an air cut-off tool to cut holes like that, with a 1/16" X 3' cutting wheel. It works great for the straight cuts. The curved cuts are another story.......aircraft sheet metal shears, which take two hands to cut the stuff.

Added some 3/8 cold roll around the lip of the cut out to give It some strength and a finished rounded look. I will flip it over and trim the under side to clean It up. The red in the pictures is weld thru primer.77 Sprint - Page 2 76_el_2577 Sprint - Page 2 76_el_26
