BBMali and that was a 305 and went that uhhhmmmm fast LOL I am getting really excited about getting SE even more to the track

Oh yeah...that fast. But then again, not too bad for a 4000lb car with a not so performance motor.

A GM 305 is not known for performance.

Seems like today's numbers haven't increased a lot since the 50s. I bought a new Olds 88 in 1955 when I got out of the military, and it's 0 to 60 was 8.6 seconds. Engine was the Olds 324 cu in, in a 4-door sedan.
My buddies and I had a '55 Chevy drag car in the 60s, with a 327 that eventually got into the low 12s, so I don't see a lot of difference in today's numbers, considering all the hardware & tech stuff available.
