So while changing my front springs the caliper fell pulling on the brake line and broke it. Since I have to replace the line I thought maybe I'd do them all. Should I go stainless? Is it worth it on a limit use car that sits in a heated garage when not in use. Also I have a Wilwood adjustable proportional valve. I bought it when I bought my disc brake rear end. I haven't installed the rear end yet but I still may. Should I toss the original valve and use this one? Thoughts?

Valve is up to you. I went regular steel lines. Anytime you have two dissimilar metals you get cross corrosion. And the steel ones lasted more than 40 years

Good point on the corrosion. I hate bending stainless vs mils steel anyways.
I would like to do the valve in case I ever put the other disc brakes on the back.
Any idea if the lines are all one size? Say 3/16" maybe.

Joe, I think that is inlintube.com They have pre-bent lines ,hoses etc, and located in the Detroit area.
I used steel lines, and painted them, before & after installing them, except the lines running up the the MC, which are stainless, that they sent by mistake !! Very Happy

Since replacing brake lines is part of my job I'm used to making my own. There is a nice ez bend line that is copper I believe, very easy to work with and won't rust. Should be available at Napa stores

So while I am working on the brakes, I figured I may just replace all the worn out parts on my ride.  I have new rotors, rubber hoses, pads for the front.  The rears have already been done from brake cylinder to hardware and shoes.

I have replaced my master cylinder already,but now would like to replace my booster and possibly the proportioning valve with new ones.  Any suggestions where to find these and anything to watch out for?  It appears there are a few different shape, size boosters out there.  Would like to find one like the original.  Same with the proportioning valve.

With the proportioning valve, keep an eye on the way the brake wire hooks up. Thats where the differences usually are. Ours is a stud.

All the lines I have bought from them go on like factory pieces. I used to work at a Corvette shop here and we got all our stuff from them. I would usually go down there and pick it up. Very nice setup they have. I have been through the place and seen the machines in action a few times. Amazing....
