Hello From Finland!

Hello Everyone!
I just found this site, and I thought I should register as I like how the forum looks and feels.
I'm Niko from Finland (Yep, the snowy country in North Europe) and I'm 17 years old. I drive Stock Eliminator with a '74 Chevelle that me and my dad rebuilt while ago. The Chevelle runs in K/SA with 350 SBC and TH-350 transmission. Chevrolets are my favorite cars, my favorites are of course these '73-'77 A- Bodies, but also late '50s and early '60s X-Frame Chevrolets, especially as Stockers / Super Stockers.
Now I have to say that there is Drag Racing in Finland!

Welcome, looks like you're having a lot of fun!
Posting a direct link to your car- Nice work! 427 horses & 425 ft pounds @ 5300rpm (am i reading that right?). That's pretty darn good for a small block.

Great looking car. Welcome to the sight. I love the gas filler on the side like that. I am sure you are running a fuel cell in place of the original tank.

You got it really close with the engine numbers. It made 427 hp on 6100 RPM, and 425 ft pounds at 4200 RPM. The engine was built by the guy who sold us the car. He's a two time Stock & Super Stock Finnish Champion and one time Nordic Champion and running that '71 Chevelle in the video that I posted.
I had to go and look and actually found the thread with that video! Surprising to see that someone has noticed it outside Finland, too.
Gas filler? It's here in the trunk:
If you mean that white decal on the side, it's Obi Wan from Star Wars. The car was painted white with a huge Obi Wan's head on both doors when it came in Finland somewhere around '89. The car was very well known here and in Sweden too, so we had to put little "reminders" of those years on the car.
