My son has a habit of liking uncommon cars. Looks like the laguna/malibu will be shelved for a while. He just got a Merkur xr4ti to drive. As soon as my 65 elky is finished in a couple of months the Laguna is getting completely disassembled and done right and converting it to a 4 or 5 speed. Building either a big block or an LS1.

OMG...I remember those Merkur's....wasn't that a joint venture between Mercury & BMW??? They're pretty cool but I bet parts will be difficult outside of Europe.

Furd and Furd of Germany. I believe it was designed by a former BMW guy. Actually some parts are hard but it's just a simple 2.3 turbo used in the Tbirds svos too. Harder parts are bumpers and interior parts. Still this is going to be his driver for now. It only has 77K so should last a good while. Plus it's injected which is good.
