CarCraft Summer Nat'ls 2011
Just got back from a beautiful day at the State Fairgrounds taking in the Summer Nat'ls. Testosterone was running rampant with the sounds of the burnout competition, dyno testing and constant rumble of high performance engines cruising around! And hey...the "scenery" wasn't bad, either...if you get my drift!
Sorry to have to tell you Chevelle/Malibu guys this, but the Montes had a greater presence among all '73-'77 GM's this year. Met a few owners and listened to their stories. Always fun to hear how they came by owning their cars. Turned them on to our G3GM site...so, hopefully, we'll get a few new members.
Here are some pics.
A trio of '76/'77 Montes. Middle one was a recent barn find here in Minnesota. Stored away since 1985. Although it suffered from mice infestation over the years, it was solid and had the factory T-tops, swivel buckets, pwr windows/locks, etc. He picked it up for $500! Unbelievable bargain.
Sweet '73 Grand Am
Awesome '74 Laguna Big Block
Striking '77 Cutlass S.
Limey: Were the chrome sport mirrors and that stainless band ahead of the qtr windows and running across the roof std on the "S" model? Man, they looked sharp on this triple black Cutlass! Bug deflector was a little strange on it though.
