i was once a fellow rally lover. then i got disintrested because they are so ugly because of that big center cap. i was thinkin bout paintin mine back to black and ditching the center caps but leaving the trim ring.

but then i got to thinking why not just get some bright shiney new chrome centerlines

LOL if anyone is going to know they are origionally corvette ralleys its me. ive been hanging around this site and searching the internet for a while. you are definately not the first person to inform me about that and you will not be the last. every time i make a comment about the ralleys someone says that. no harm done

chris has a set of 67 (flat cap centers) and a set of police (baby moon) caps that look good also on rallies. he has the moon caps on his caprice.

I know I've said it a few times, but there is definately a very good reason why ralleys are so "overused" on GM's. They look damn good, they're one of those timeless designs that doesn't go out of style, you can do just about anything you want to them since they're everywhere, and even most new ones are dirt cheap so you can make up any kind of wheel combo you want. On my next set of wheels I'm torn between either some Salt Flats or a larger ralley wheel, as a matter of fact. GoFast

I just realized that those two '73's look almost exactly like my car, wheel and ride height wise...NICE!

ive seen them in opgi. just havent gotten around ordering a set. but thats not the point you cant disagree that the center caps are too bulky

BE NICE SOME PEOPLE LIKE THEM, Personally they are over rated because every older car you see has them so seen way to much for my liking. BUT there are people that still like them................. they are a timeless look

LoL, yeah I just like to razz. To each his own. I like the aluminum Corvette rallies, but I'm sure some don't. The overrated part is what initially got my dislike for them.

That's all the same reasons I don't really like Cragar SS's anymore, way overused. But just like the rallies some vehicles just demand the use of them for that classic timeless look.
