Yup, It's steel and it's heavy. I'm guessing 3-5 pounds or so, but I'll weigh it tomorrow and get back with you. It might fit in one of those "Flat rate" boxes.
Whadda ya think on shipping this critter Anthony? Flat rate cheaper?
NH isn't that far from here, compared to AZ or Cali.

Re: Anybody need a.....
I am not sure how this will attach to my bumper, does it just bolt on where the square holes are? Where on this site would there be a good picture of one on a car? I just want to know how to position it, and what it will look like before i pay shipping.

Re: Anybody need a.....
I got the bracket, and have absolutly no idea how to put it on, seems that some of the bolts don't even match up to the holes under the bumper..

Re: Anybody need a.....
How many bolts does that bracket have, anyway? If it's anything like on my '77 Monte, there should only be two that fasten it on the underside of the bumper...and two that fasten it to the front of the bumper.

Re: Anybody need a.....
If I may...
That looks a lot like the one I have on my Monte Carlo. The two bolt holes in the FRONT are close together. Now...when I had my '74 Chevelle, I could put a license plate on the front bumper without a bracket, for the holes in the bumper were far enough apart. Not the case on the Monte Carlo bumper.
RC: What car did that come off of? Was it your Laguna? Maybe Laguna and Malibu license plate brackets are different? I have never had a Laguna, so I do not know for sure myself.
Lars: On your bumper, the two holes in the FRONT of the bumper, are they car enough apart to put on a license plate without the bracket, like I did on my 74 Chevelle? Just wondering if maybe they changed the hole positions between 1974 and 1976.
I hope this helps.

Re: Anybody need a.....
Lars...the bottom mounting bolts on my '77 Monte measure 8" ctr to ctr. Take some measurements on your car vs. mounting bracket and let me know. I don't know how interchangeable these brackets were from year to year and model to model...the issue never arose...but, it sounds like you've got the wrong bracket for your car. If you can't (or, don't want to) fasten your license plate directly to your bumper, you can either drill new holes on the underside of your bumper or, I could most likely find the correct one up here in one of the yards. However, the yard is going to charge me for it and you'll have to pay shipping again.

Re: Anybody need a.....
The holes on the bottom measure 9 inches from center to center, and the front holes are 7.5.

Re: Anybody need a.....
Well...from what you have for measurements on your bumper vs the pic of the bracket you received, it's no wonder it doesn't fit your bumper. I'll try and make a run out to the yard early next week and see if I can't find you the correct bracket...if you'd like.

Re: Anybody need a.....
Yep...postal money order is best choice. This yard owner treats me pretty well...so, if one can be found and the price is right (I'm sure it will be), I'll just grab it for you.
