Cragar S/S lug torque
Finally got new wheels and tires mounted for the Monte Friday and need some advice on what to torque the lugs to. The wheels are Cragar S/S. Thanks

Re: Cragar S/S lug torque
Poking around last night on the cragar site and noticed they say 70-80, the tire shop told me 100. So I split the difference and did 90. Hopefully that works. Thanks

Re: Cragar S/S lug torque
75-100 ft/lbs on steel wheels is usually sufficient. Aluminum wheels are usually around 100, also need re torqued after being driven. Seen cheap lug nut studs break at above 100 ft pounds. Make sure the threads are engaged completely in the lugnut. Some rims face are thicker than stock steel wheels and not enough threads are engaged within the nut, becomes a safety issue.

Would use Cragars' recommendation. Cannon lug nuts need to be periodically checked and retorqued.
