73 & 75 hoods
Would a 73 Laguna hood match my 75 el camino hood? I located some hood hinges and they guy has the hood too that he wants to get rid of.

Yup...you're good to go (Hollander Interchange Manual confirms all '73-'77 Chevelle/Malibu/El Camino hoods are interchangeable).

Good news. My hood is not too bad but it can't hurt to have a backup.

Yup ! Not a bad idea to have a few extra parts. Cars do get pranged now & then, and extra front end parts are good to have. I have an extra hood, an extra door & a fender etc...
