Anybody know a decent rattle can silver paint to match the 1973 Chevelles SS lower body stripe, the light silver version? Not looking to have paint mixed for a gun, instead just a store bought that I can do some quick touch ups? Again just needs to be close not perfect.

Orileys can custom mix a color for Spray cans for you

Alot of auto body supplies will mix it for u but it will be 2 stage paint. So if u have left over it will harden in the can. Duplicolor will be an enamel and have a long shelf life with leftovers.

You're not missing much, the same people work there as all the other department stores. Knowledge? Skill? Not so much.

Try paintscratch.com, they might have something close or mix it up what you need.

Ok, duplicolor HWP101 is real good. I've also heard good things about krylon 1403 dull aluminum but I havent seen the krylon in person.
Both should get a coat of clear on top of the silver.
This info is going from info I've saved from years ago concerning stripe colors and rally wheel paint .
I'd dust it on in a small area, then second coat a little larger area and if your going with a third then a slightly larger area. Just for a "blend" effect. Remember to clean the area real good with wax and grease remover or in a pinch rubbing alcohol. Either way, keep the area wet for at least a couple minutes to let it work. I use a spray bottle of wax and grease remover. I keep mineral base and water based w/g around for projects.
