1976 Malibu

Global West or Detroit Speed or Speedtech?

Has anyone installed front upper & lower control arms from Global West, Detroit Speed, or Speedtech?

Are anyone of these preferred over the other?  If so, why?

Any info will be appreciated.

I've never had the need for anything other than the stock ones. But one thing is to make sure they have the ability to have upper travel limiters. On a drag car its good to be able to adjust the upward travel limit.

No, the shocks will only change the rate of rise. The limiter actually STOPS upward travel and maintains the alignment. Having an adjustable limiter, basically allows you to tailor the travel to use the minimum travel to have the best 60'. No point in extending the front end as far as it can and going no faster. It also allows the front end to hang way up in the air going downtrack acting like a big sail in the air. Single adjustable shocks will work just fine because it is the upward rate that is adjusted. A DA front shock would help a wheelstanding car when it comes down to slow the downward rate when it hits the ground.
