door jamb switch wiring help
I am hoping someone here can help me with getting these wired correctly. I know they all worked when I took the car apart for painting. At my passenger side door I have a white wire that I believe went to the door switch. I also have a dark blue wire but I am not sure if that goes to the switch or not.
On my drivers side I have 2 white wires coming together in 1 spade connector. I am pretty sure this was connected to my switch. I also have a black wire with a purple stripe that is molded to one of the white wires. This one has no end on it now. I am not sure if this is supposed to also go to the switch.
I have looked at the schematic but it is not real helpful with running these. Anyone able to help? Or have any ideas?

Re: door jamb switch wiring help
I just checked mine.
Pass side is two white individual wires one on each side of the switch.
Drivers is two white wires on one spade and a black with purple stripe.
Same as yours.

That dark blue wire most likely went to the rear speakers.

Re: door jamb switch wiring help
I only have 1 white wire on passenger side. I will have to check again but pretty sure just one. I assume the white and black/ purple are tied together at the switch. I also assume the switches are breaking the grounds to the dome light. Just checking because I am wiring up a late model rear view mirror with lights and also a Dakota Digital retained power accessory.

One white wire on the passenger side switch. And yes, the switches break ground to the dome light and underdash courtesy lights
