This 73 is the project I'm currently working on. My son (who has laid claim to the Chevelle), is talking up a drag race when I get it finished.

Don't raise the rear, you won't be able to see out the back window.  What's wrong with the parts car?  It looks decent (although primered in a picture can hide a lot) good luck.

Absolutely love the 71-73 fastbacks.

A neighbor had a green Mach 1 when I was a kid. First car I fell in love with. I'd have one now if I had the room.

What's your plan for it?

Don't wanna know who wins the race.

I've already installed the Detroit locker and have the body panels(entire floor, trunk and lower quarter panels, and the front skirts and radiator support) welded in. All new front end and fuel and brake lines. Next up is the 351C4V and the 4 speed rebuilds.
