I don't race mine, but I grew up liking slot mags, side pipes, traction bars, hood scoops, etc. That's why mine looks the way it does.

I took out my SS front bar years ago and put in a regular chevelle bar. Then I spaced the frame mounts 3/4"-1" away from the frame with longer bolts and washers. All to let the front end unload easier and help with weight transfer. But what a mess it was on turns. Really bad. But helped with the launch.
Sold the stock bar and my SS bar is back in.
