Not 100% but i think they were available all years ('73/'77) although the later years were more of a appearence package.

I had a '76 SS...nothing special about it. Gauge type dash insert, stripes on the sides etc.
Don't know if the '73 or '74 had anything special, even though the low compression 454 was available then. Of course '75 was the beginning of the cat-converter thing, air pumps etc....
