New guy in Illinois
I was just made aware of this great website. I am trying to finish a '73 Stage 1 Gran Sport to be featured at this November's Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show in Rosemont, IL. They are having a 40th anniversary showcase for any high performance cars from '73, so if anyone has a cool hi-po A body they would like to attend, let me know. I love the '73, as it rides & drives like a dream compared to the older muscle cars. I just posted a parts wanted ad for some pieces I need to complete the reinstallation of the front half vinyl top on my car. Thanks, Mike

Hello, welcome to the forum. Buicks are a little scarce around here but, there should be no shortage of people willing to give advice or help.

Re: New guy in Illinois
A 73 Buick Regal was my first ever resto, my dad bought an ugly beat up rusty brown Regal back in like 87 just for the tires and wheels off of it, I begged him to let me have the remains, me and my brother did some real high quality body work, and painted it Plum Crazy Purple with white stripes along each rocker, added some buick rally wheels, and you bet I even painted the rear brake drums bright red.......... what a money maker that car was we got $1600 for it lol. Anyhow I love old Buicks, and that is a very rare car, when your 7 day grace period is up would love to see some photos!
P.S. Do NOT paint the brake drums red, that was cool for about 2 years....... and those 2 years ran out about the time I did it.......

Hi there,
Welcome, you have a really rare buick. How about posting some pictures?
Does your car still still have the 455 stage1 still in it?
Thanks Graham.
