Super Chevy magazine platinum 77 Monte
THere is a nice article comparing the 70 and 77 Monte Carlos in Super Chevy platinum magazine. I got it in Barnes and Noble bookstore. Its a special edition to the regular Super Chevy magazine. The cars are owned by the owner of National Parts Depot, its said in the article that they buy very low mileage original cars for their collection, and also they use them for examples when developing new parts to sell so maybe they are planning to get into the Monte market?

That would be good. Hope they get more into all the other G3 cars too.

What does the cover look like? I think I might have to go look for it today.

What did the comprison conclude? Was one better than the other overall? Or did they each have their own strengths/weaknesses?

Owns strengths and weaknesses. The 77 sold a hell of a lot more, like 450,000 more than double the 70 ! I dont think they sell that many Chevy cars over the whole line today! Naturally the 70 had more power the type of car it started out as changed (not really though). Interesting, see if you can find one good too keep for kind of a reference .
