I'd do some searching on the net. But take a look at this. ARe you sure the second digit is a "Z" ?

Yeah thats whats on the door and firewall. Its a friends car, car came from Mexico. its a 1982 Monte

Interesting. 1981 and newer vehicles have 17 digit vin numbers.

thats what has me all confused. door tag says 1982 but only 13 digits. did mexican cars differ from us or canadian?
