Re: Engine Mount help
Anyone know where you can by the OEM rubber style cushions for the motor mounts? Looking for only the cushions- not the whole lower half of the mount. Having a heck of a time finding them & I don't want the urethane type. I hear they can cause engine vibration- enough that some people have posted they feel it in the steering wheel.

Re: Engine Mount help
Why just change the rubber part. Rockauto has the DEA Part # A2292HD heavy duty mounts for your car for only $6.13 EACH. The standard ones are ANCHOR Part # 2292 and only $2.83 each.

Re: Engine Mount help
I want to keep my 1977 Made in the US of A OE GM mounts.
I know it's crazy but I'm gonna rebuild my brake calipers too and a bunch of other 'original to the car' stuff.

They're cheap enough at rock auto alright, but it's kind of wasteful doing that. I'll keep hunting ... I know they're out there somewhere.
Thanks for the reply's Joe & Hawk

Re: Engine Mount help
The brake calipers are a breeze. I hit them with glass beads and then painted them with caliper paint. Then installed a rebuild kit. Real simple. Left one is blasted and the right one is painted. Rebuild kits just below them. Speed bleeders to the right of that.

Re: Engine Mount help
I've always used raybestos stuff but havent tried their caliper rebuild kits. No problems with them.
