go ck this out i paid 250.00 for the 396 the way you see it did not have to rebuild it .. wow what a deal ..

yep ,, the guy wanted a 454 this was his stock 396 in his 69 chevelle .. his wife said get it out the garage came with motor stand to ..

3 1/2 years i bought a 1975 chevy 4 door dually with a 454/400 for 1200.00. i junked the dually and my 100 beater and made 1187.00 back.

so all in all the 454 that ive been beating the sh!t out of for 3 1/2 years cost me 13.00..........

im in no way trying to out do you,but its nice to barter also. i found a guy that had a 73 chevelle 454 motor sitting in his garage. he wanted a 350 sbc and was also looking for a 350 sbb and bop 400 trans. well i to had them sitting in the corner that i pulled from junk cars. it cost me 40 in gas and now the 454 is sitting in the corner of my garage.

as ice cube would say "today was a good day"

cool cool nice to here other people getting good deals that is crazy cheap for the 454 $$13.00 ..

I love the barter trade system and good deals ! This obsession opps i mean hobby of ours costs enough as it is . Congrats . However i would divorce my wife if she told me to get rid of a original 68 396 . Ok maybe not but i would sure take it to a freinds house LOL . Thumbs up
