Hello I am new here...I am a MOM of 2 teenage daughters that have cool cars! My older daughter that is 18 bought a 1977 el camino when she was 14 from money she earned walking dogs at the local vet clinic. My youngest has a 1977 firebird, that we are currently restoring to a TA, she sold her horse to buy it for her own 16th birthday. The el camino needs worked on, but she really likes to drive it, so hoping that after we finish the Firebird project we can start on that, maybe if the winter gets bad enough we can get it into the garage and at least get the floor pans replaced. We have absolutely no idea what we are doing! But we are having fun as a family and learning something new, and the girls will have neat cars to treasure and do with what they want as they grow up. As I find time i will try and get some pics loaded up. Will be looking for parts too..so if you have any 77 el co stuff around let me know...oh and we are located in iowa.

yep they are Cragers...my avatar pic is of both daughters getting their cars ready for prom...the Cragers got a good polish that day!

I enjoyed reading your intoduction, I grew up in a tough neighbourhood and getting into old cars when I was a teenager steered me in the right direction big time.
There is lots of nice people here and if you are looking for advice on helping your daughters fix up thier cars this is the place to ask.

thank you everyone for a nice warm welcome! as soon as we finish and recover from our firebird car project we will start on the el camino, will be replacing floor pans, doors, and the back end...so if ya know where we can get stuff let me know! oh and carpet..

nice car i also live in iowa i live in decorah up in northeast corner where you from iv got a 1973 chevelle laguna iv got a picture on here if you like to see it but any way nice car and im a young buck also in 19 i bought my car at 15 and restored it and still am tell them daughters of yours to work hard and its goona take alot of time
