Yes sir, I thought of getting a 73 doing a muscle car. nothing as crazy as what i got going, more stock and with more power.

Joe73- base coat is a summit racing SUM-UP314, over HOK tangerine kandy on top. not sure what kind of clear but I'll ask.

That is a nice tangerine color. HOK makes nice stuff. Definitely post up what clear it is. Once I put my stripes back on I'll shoot the whole thing with some nice clear. I was looking at this companies clear. http://www.southernpolyurethanes.com/

I haven't posted pics in a while, some updates.

We fiber glassed the whole dash, closed all vents.

The front windshield had a big crack in one corner. Never knew how hard it is to remove a windshield, it wasn't pretty but we go it done.

 Orange Juice'd - My 77 - Page 4 666

Had a professional remove the rest, reseal and reinstall all the glass.

No joke on how prone they're at leaking.

Also the steering wheel and column were painted. But as soon as that was done i came across  a tilt column super cheap but missing a few parts.

Love it. Do you have any documentation on redoing the dash? I had been thinking of doing something similar.

I didn't document it all, but have a few pics.

We used the plastic cap that i had as a base, that's the orange part that you see.

Orange Juice'd - My 77 - Page 4 485_large_image

Glued the cap on, and filled in the vents and sides with cardboard. On the cardboard areas we added 2 or 3 layers of fiberglass. Then covered the whole dash with 2 layers of fiberglass, sanded and then body filler.

It's a dry heat, LOL. Yeah i debated this for a while, if it was a daily then i would have kept it. I really wanted to clean up the engine bay, it was to cluttered . I'm planning on adding a moon roof also, so that should help LOL.

I like the glass dash. Did it cause any fitment issues due to extra thickness when reinstalling? I have an extra cracked one and been debating the same thing.

It was a slightly tweaked, nothing that was noticeable. once fastened in it was straight.  the only thing was the sides cause of the build up. Its a 2 man job when installing, but you still have plenty of room from the windshield pillars  to slide it in.

No not yet, but we have started on the body work and are thinking it will be ready to spray the base coat by the end of October or early November. Right now we are kind stump on the wiring of the gauges, its pain in the @$$.

I'm upgrading to the dual sports mirrors, my passenger side never had a mirror. Anyone know if the measurements for the passenger mounting holes are the same as the driver side?

That's all I've ever done, was make the passenger side the same as the drivers side. Why would they be mounted differently from side to side?

I assume you don't already have the sport mirrors in which to measure? If your car came with the single std chrome mirror, I'd double-check the hole centers as it seems to me they were different than for the sport mirrors.

I swapped mine out for the sport mirror on the drivers side and didn't have to drill any holes. It bolted right up. I still haven't added the passenger side mirror. I keep hoping to find a good nos set or something somewhere. The glass isn't the best in the ones I have and the outside it kinda cruddy, but I can probably smooth it out.

My driver has the cut outs for both mirrors.

I thought maybe the pass might be a little different on where the mirror mounts onto the door.  I haven't driven the car in years, but i do remember the big blind spot the car has since i have the little opera windows
