Has anyone bought/used one of these? I got my tax return and am wondering if it's worth buying one for the spring to keep me busy. Give me your opinion if you've used one, or know where to get a decent one for around the same price.

I have heard they work pretty good. The trick is to have a big enough air compressor to supply It.......

I have a TP Tools blast cabinet.
And have thought of adding the soda bin for aluminum and soft metals.
But, the downside of soda is it's one use and then toss it.
And it's $50 for 50lbs + shipping which is pretty expensive.

In comparison, glass bead $35 for 50lbs and lasts forever.
Black Diamond 'sand' abrasive is $7.99 for 50lbs at Tractor Supply.

So, I have been turning the pressure down on the soft stuff.

Thanks -

The soda blasting is OK for paint removal on the body panels. It wont take rust etc off though. A friend has a big soda blast rig (read expensive) that he used to strip paint off of a WW2 airplane.
The Eastwood rig would likely be OK for a hobbyist working on his own car. If the soda media was available locally, it would be more worth while. But like mentioned, a big CFM air supply would be needed. We use two compressors just for a big blast cabinet, to keep from running out of air volume.

Having a good sized compressor would be handy for all kinds of air tools and painting too, so it's a good investment if affordable.
