Thanks man. Appreciate it.

I've had then pain and pleasure of watching both the Edelbrock and Street Avenger carbs on a gas bench while trying to get the CO's and HC's down for emissions. The Edelbrocks would jump all over the board, and we couldn't get them to flatten out. Slapped a Street Avenger on, and it was flat as can be.

I've also messed with part throttle drivability issues with a Quadrajet and Edelbrock carb on the same car. Once we swapped over to the Avenger, those issues went away.

They still have an electric choke and vacuum operated secondary’s for ease of use. Not to mention they have the "million mile" power valve. They say backfires won't take them out like they always did on the previous version.

Sure, they are a little more expensive, and I completely understand going the other route. Just want you to be informed.

My experience with older Holleys won't let me dish out the cash.

I can attest to the edelbrock par throttle issue - My Century hesitates at part throttle when it's cold, like it's not getting enough fuel. Problem disappears once warmed up though. Did some research on the avenger this morning - think my next project may get one. The next car in the stable is a 49 dodge coupe. Thanks for the advice.
