just discovered this Tech Tip today
So was watching Eastwood's How To paint Videos to get caught up on the New Painting techniques over from when I was taught 30+ years ago LOL Paints are so complex now compared to then. So this is what I found
All I used 1 can of Coca Cola and Aluminum Foil balled up
Still need OOOO steel wool to bring more luster back
So I have this Chrome Water pump I wanted to clean the Surface rust off, Powder coat would have destroyed the internals of it, SOOOOOO Google here we go
One can of Coca Cola and a balled up Piece of Aluminum foil and alot of Scrubbing then more scrubbing then Got a cup of coffee and you guessed it more scrubbing Now Just need to finish it up with OOOO steel wool to bring some luster back even more SO Yea not bad for what I wanted

I've heard that about Coke, but what does the coffee do?

Good to know this works. I have a 1950's Nutone bath fan that needs restoring and I was planning to try that trick. Scares me to think what's actually in Coke, though. Probably should be in the chemical aisle at Lowes instead of the fridge by the register.
Are you supposed to clear coat it or something afterward, or is it good to go?
