After Christmas Deals!
A friend of mine sent me a facebook link last night that had an ad for few g3 cars and parts. Fortunately I followed up with the guy a couple times as he finally responded. He said he was overwhelmed by the amount of people that were interested in his parts and particularly a 75 el camino he had with buckets and console. He sold it 5 hours after he posted it. He still has a 73 Chevelle parts car he wants to sell with this 73 SS 454 Chevelle which is running and driving. The SS needs quite a bit of work but the parts car would be a challenge. He was asking $6k for both. I ended up with a NOS dash and 75 Laguna front fascia.

Wow...I'd say you had a very good day! I think that's only the second NOS '74-'77 A/C dash I've ever seen. First one is a black one sitting in my basement.

Yeah, its the only one I've personally come across in the 25+ years of playing with these g3's. I saw one on ebay a few years back that sold for $1500 if I recall correctly. And Just Dashes wants $1800 to restore them. I'm going to use it as a template to restore several dashes I have stashed away. I already have a large roll of the correct "haircell" vinyl and one of my friends is helping me build an oven and vacuum table to get these started hopefully by spring.
It's actually an 87 Choo Choo SS El Camino. What year is your Monte?

It was a very good day yesterday. The only thing that could have been better is if were black like yours. Where did you find your dash?

Re: After Christmas Deals!
I caught wind of a guy in CA some 5-6 yrs ago who had one he was interested in getting rid of due to his not owning a G3 anymore. It had been in storage at his place of business for years and was just in the way. So, I offered to relieve him of his burden and he very carefully packed it up and shipped it to me.
