While in California.....
Hi G3 er's,
So , in California on business . Found these G3's.
The El Camino was in Oakhurst , Ca. , about 60 miles north of Fresno , CA. You wouldnt believe the amount of "old" cars still on
the road here. Zero rust on cars as it is extremely dry. Just check out the weather for Fresno for the next 10 days !!
The Monte wasnt for sale....Driving along though, I spotted it. Im kind of partial to these !! Had to turn around to get a pic!!

I am a big 73 Monte fan. I travel out west a good bit. I see cars like these in the 9% humidity areas. My house has 90% all the time. Here is a Laguna S3 I drive by in New Mexico.

Re: While in California.....
If I start another project...it will be on a car purchased out west with documentation it has been out west its life.
I bought the body of mine out of a junkyard in New Mexico :

The money / time spent repairing rust can be easily overcome just starting with a rust free specimen.
Great if you have the skills to do the repairs, but if you don't...your paying somebody...its not cheap / very time consuming and you don't know if the work is actually being done properly.

Re: While in California.....
Mine came from Las Vegas and it shows underneath the vinyl top and the bottom of the car. $850 to ship one is nothing compared to what you get. I'd like to scoop up that el Camino and bring it here. It would triple that money once running.
