Ok..... figured out how to post a picture.......this is my new project.........it's solid.......needs drivers side window, breaks, and an interior. I purchased a set of swivel buckets.......found a console out of a Monty.....I need an SS shifter knob.......and I found a glass for the drivers door on eBay this past week.......paint code is 19. Tuxedo black. My goal is to get it back there......motor is a 350, late sixties early seventies block, camel hump heads, 750 Holley .........I'm a stock junkie so I'm looking for a clean daily driver that turns heads.    I bought it like you see it.......got a lot of work to do......... I give 3500 for it.......was that a good price........hope you like it

Thanks for the support.......I was beginning to think I was alone........trying to find parts without connections is insane on a 73.......I will be asking questions...... one in particular........I think this car was a 4 speed bench seat car.........some one had put a set of camaro buckets in it. I threw those out.......will the swivel buckets I just bought set in with out any modifications? I have an original Monty console the is correct and the factory shifter and cable.....I'm going to patch the butchered hole on the hump.......how do I correctly put an automatic cable hole back in the right place

Sorry I don't have an answer about the seats but if you need any measurements for the stock swivel bucket mounting studs, my passenger seat is currently out so I can easily take meausurements if needed.

So you think your car might have been a 4 speed bench originally? Wow that would be awesome to bring it back to that. I'm still trying to find an original 4 speed shifter stick lever correct for our cars, they are really hard to find.

Any measurements you can give me would be appreciated. It still has the clutch pedal and I don't see any evidence of the original seat studs....... I have actually thought about putting the 4peed back in it.....I would have to sell my console..... I already have a small fortune in the seats and console already .......

You would only have two original seat studs for a bench seat...the front outer ones.  The rear outers rested on top of the seat belt floor retractors.  Couldn't tell you whether the Camaro bucket seat mtg points will be the same as the swivels.  

Here's a couple pics I have showing the location of the automatic shift cable location based on a measurement from where the shifter bracket mounts on the tranny tunnel (there should be some dimples in the tunnel to locate drilling of bracket holes).  Cable hole is approx. 10 5/8" on center from shifter bracket mtg holes.  What is not so obvious is that it's offset towards the driver side from center of tunnel.  You can get the general location by fitting the shifter to the tunnel and noting where the cable leads from the front of the shifter.  GM used a grommet to fill that cable hole...with the hole being approx. 1 1/2" dia.  BTW...the pair of holes in the tunnel directly behind the shifter mtg bracket and the pair to the left on the other support crossmember are where the console attaches via four screws in the bottom of the storage box. The front of the console mounts on a bracket that was spot welded to the tunnel. Hope this helps.

I remember seeing some one posting here about how if you are going to put swivels in a non-swivel car you have to put a bracket of some sort on both sides of the tunnel. Am I reading this correctly, you want to put an auto with a console in where a 4spd was originally?

The car has a jacked up b&m shifter in it now....... someone spent a lot on the motor and new exhaust......I'm still trying to make up my mind about a tranny.........a person would have 2 to 3 thousand in a good Muncie set up....??????

They had just drilled holes for the camaro buckets and had 1/2 inch aluminum blocks under the back side of the rails to level them out. ....... none of it was correct
