Wow, that's a hard one. I have an 8 GB Flash drive completely filled in my car stereo on top of a cd case with about 150+ cds. I listen to everything, so it really depends on my mood.
Here's my top 10 bands that I have listened to recently in no particular order:

1. Blind Melon
2. Tool
3. Slipknot
4. AC/DC
5. System of a Down
6. Sublime
7. Jason Boland & the Stragglers
8. The Allman Brothers
9. Our Lady Peace
10. Pantera

A little off topic, but this video made me think of this topic for some reason. To whomever made the video, I give 5*****.

NOTICE: Vulgar music!

While you're there, type in "74 Chevelle" look down at the 77 in gray primer & you'll see. Poor guy really thinks he has a 74 Crying or Very sad

he shows pics of a wrecked 74 in one of his other post but i dont buy it he would have had to have a pro weld in the 75 and up tail panel.....find the new rear fender extentions new tails that match the color of his car and fading of it ..........plus he would have had to change the where the trunk shuts for if you remember the trunks are different on the 74 from the 75 and also

That's exactly what I'm saying. That car looks too umm....... unmodified (?) to have that extensive work done to it. I'm saying 77 with 74 VIN.

Back on topic, I got to thinking & you ca't go wrong with The Allman Brothers or Blind Melon for a long trip. Pop in either one's Greatest Hits albums & just let the music play.

Very Happy Well, I reckon its natural that most of us like our driving music to remind us of when we were young and wild, so most of mine is from '66 - '69. Songs like this......

'Born To Be Wild' by Steppenwolf......

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMbATaj7Il8

'White Rabbit' and 'Somebody to Love' by Jefferson Airplane......

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZc-kPWWQvc&feature=related

'California Dreaming' by the Mommas and the Poppas'......

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dN3GbF9Bx6E&feature=related

'Sound of Silence' by Simon and Garfunkel......

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-S90Uch2as&feature=related

Don't care too much for the newer songs except for a few with a good beat like......

'Eye of the Tiger' by Survivor......

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aY9CSuJ_OEk&NR=1

Very Happy Of course, our favourite car song 'oldies' back then were stuff like this......

'Thunder Road' by Robert Mitchum......

http://www.wikio.com/video/346638

'Hot Rod Lincoln' by Johnny Bond......

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KV18vVAbyIg&feature=related

Thanks for the memories,

Harry

P.S. >>>> Regarding the movie, 'Thunder Road'...... I saw it as a juniour high school kid at the local drive-in movie in 1959. I was just starting to get 'car crazy' then. Great flick. And yes, we made fun of the 'blooper' where Mitchum is roaring along at 90 MPH with the windows down and flicks a cigarette butt across the car and out his passenger side window into the face of the 'bad guy' running side by side with him before running him off the road. Anyone who's tried that knows that the wind would carry the cigarette away as soon as it was outside the window at that speed. The movie car was a '51 F O R D 2dr sedan with a '50 hood and grille running a new (at the time) 312 Y-block with an Isky E-4 cam and tri-power..... Not a warmed over flathead as most folks think.

"Shoot To Thrill" - AC/DC
"Rock and Roll" - Led Zepplin
"I Am the Highway" - Audioslave
"Summer's End" - Foo Fighters
"Dragula" - Rob Zombie

I have a ton of songs I listen to while driving but these are the first 4 in my playlist on my iPod.
